introduction to geography

by definition, geography is a study of man and his environment. geography can be divided into three main branches such as
i.    physical geography
ii.   human and economic geography
iii   practical geography


physical geography
- The scientific study of the natural features of the Earth's surface, especially in its current aspects, including land formation

human and ecenomic geography
-refers to human activities and the adoption of new technologies, transition from agriculture-based to industry-based economy, and general improvement in living standards.

practical geography
-this involve fieldwork, map making and research activities in geography.
